Any idea why I was working on a file last week- opened it today and the colors and shading are all changed and weird. I am the only working in it...

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
You might have accidently changed your Colors Theme Pallette.

If you are using xl2007,
in the Ribbon click: Page Layout > Themes > Colors

The Current Theme will have a faint Outline around it.

If it isn't the Color Pallette you normally use, then click on the one you normally use.

In xl2007 the strip of menu icons at the top of the window is called the Ribbon.

I believe that Themes was introduced with 2007. I'm not familiar with xl2002 however there might have been a similar concept of being able to use a pallette of colors and by changing the pallette- change all the colors and shading at once.
If so, you might have accidently changed the pallette.

You can probably look in Excel Help under colors and see if there is something like that in 2002. Sorry that I can't be more help on that version ...time for an upgrade?
