changing computer memory settings to handle large worksheet

Hello,

I'm using Excel to develop a model that follows 10,000 individuals over 700 days to see how they transition between different states. For each individual on each day there is a calculation to determine their state. The model worked for 3,000 individuals but now it is locking up and I'm getting 'not enough space' and other memory error messages.

Does anyone have any advice as to how I can configure my computer to handle a large spreadsheet such as this one? I tried increasing the size of my virtual memory but I'm still having problems.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
