I have a number of hire dates in Column A and would like the excel to show in another column B what their anniversary year is for the current year.

EXAMPLE:

.... ......A....................B..........
1....10/10/55.......10/10/06

2....05/8/88.........05/08/06

Excel Facts

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
B1 =DATE(2006,MONTH(A1),DAY(A1))

or =DATE(YEAR(TODAY()),MONTH(A1),DAY(A1))

As long as the date in A1 is in a date format (and not text):

=DATE(YEAR(NOW()),MONTH(A1),DAY(A1))
