Chart background fill effects question

Hi, when I try to select fill effects for the chart background,

=>Select Format Plot Area
=> Fill Effects
=> Gradient Tab

There is a Transparency option that is either greyed out or seemingly activated but not useable.

Can someone tell me if they have this option activated and useable in their dialog box for their Fill Effects?

Kollin,

When I select one color, I have a Dark/Light option but nothing for transparency. I'm using XL2K at home. What version are you using? I don't remember if there is such a thing on higher versions. Also, what chart typ?

AFAIK, it works only on a Mac. And, I imagine in XL2007.
