I created a simple column chart with two different sets of data. When I finalize the chart, the two sets of data return bars that are on top of one another. I would like to have the bars adjacent to one another. What do I have to change to show both sets of data next to each other.

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
You need to change your chart type to "Clustered Column", you have selected a stacked column chart type.

Right click on any column and you should be able to change the chart type from that menu.

Change the chart type to a clustered column. Currently you are working with a stacked column.
