I think the question I posted earlier was a bit too tricky so hopefully here is simpler one (I think  )

Q1. Is there a way of adding a drop line on a scatter plot or can you only add a drop line on a line chart?

Q2. Is it possible to only add a dropline a specific x point rather than a drop line for every point on the x-axis? For example for a line chart with an x-axis that ranges from 0 - 100. I just want to add a drop line at x=10.

Press F7 to start spell check in Excel. Be careful, by default, Excel does not check Capitalized Werds (whoops)
Q1: have a look at error bars and see if that's what you want.

Q2: you can have custom error bars ... make a an extra series, where all bar values are zero except for the one you want to see. ( although your wording is confusing ... "I want to add a drop line at x=10"??? Don't you mean add a drop-line to the point that has x=10? )
