Chart, (or Pivot) to show unique users per day

Hi All..

I hope you can help as my brain is fried again!!

I have a large dump of data that shown connections to a service

Users can, and indeed do connect to the service many times in one day, so they appear many times in that days list of connections.

I need to be able to chart, or pivot the number of users that connected each day (not the number of times that they connected) and I am stumped...

Any clues out there from people who know what they are talking about?
