Charts Sheet Name Referance Alternatives?

I have many repetitive data structures which are each on a separate excel tab. So I have created a chart and then I copy that chart from sheet to sheet, but the chart references the original sheet name for the data it selects. Is there a way to make my charts sheet name update as copied or use the active sheets data. I've tried replacing the sheet name with active.sheet and stuff like that but it doesn't work.
