Is there a nice, non-looping code, to check if a particular worksheet exists in a workbook? I've been running a UDF that is a simple For Each ws type of loop to check if a worksheet name exists, but it can get cranky in some code.

Function WorksheetExists(WSName As String) As Boolean
On Error Resume Next
WorksheetExists = Worksheets(WSName).Name = WSName
On Error GoTo 0
End Function

To use

Sub test()
If Not WorksheetExists("Sheet1") Then
        MsgBox "Unable to proceed", vbExclamation, "Error"
        Exit Sub
End If
End Sub
