I have a weekly monthly and total balance for an account. I want the weekly amount to stop when the total balance hits 1000, but it keeps giving me a circular reference. The weekly is calculated from the input data, the monthly sums the weekly, and total sums the monthly and previous months total balance.

If you use C2 in formula and a formula itself is in C2, then it will give circular reference error.

We do not require full workbook of yours we just need few lines of you dummy data to work on it.
to know how it looks like and what are your expected results.
Without looking at the data, you have less chances of getting help on here or anywhere else.

I'd rather not put it on here. It's personal income stuff.
@GhostKnife
This forum recommends using sanitized / simulated data and not real data. It is not difficult to do.
RANDARRAY(), SEQUENCE(), and the FIND/REPLACE dialog make this fairly simple. Help the forum help you!
