Why does this produce a Application-defined or object-defined error

Code:
Sub Macro6()
'
' Macro6 Macro

'
    Range("H4").Select
    Application.CutCopyMode = False
    ActiveCell.FormulaR1C1 = _
        "=ISERROR(EDATE(INDEX('[Despatch Draft.xls]Req H 04-11-05'!R1C2:R136C3,MATCH(R3C,'[Despatch Draft.xls]Req H 04-11-05'!R1C3:R136C3,0),1),-2))?""not in plan"" EDATE '[Despatch Draft.xls]Req H 04-11-05'!R1C2:R136C3 R3C '[Despatch Draft.xls]Req H 04-11-05'!"
    Range("H4").Select
End Sub

There is an error in the formula. To get the right code, turn on the macro recorder, enter the formula you want, then turn off the recorder.
