Code help please

Hi All,

I have a dropdown list in cell A7 which contains numbers.

In columnF I have Conditional formatting of:-
=Rank(A8,$A$8:$A$31,1)<=6

I want to replace the 6 with a reference to the contents of cell A7.

I tried (R7C1).....no good also in commas but neither works.
Could anyone help with the correct syntax please.
