I have visually impaired users that reverse view there workbooks in order to see them clearly. How do I code a cell to display a color (foreground) when in normal viewing mode and with a number (background) when in reverse viewing mode. I am using excel 2007.

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
The cell displays a colour of RED, GREEN or YELLOW normally. In reverse display it shows the numbers 3, 1, 2. There is no other content in the cell.
Thank you for responding ... appreciated ...

OK I'll take a look. Can you remind me please how you reverse the colour display ? It's not something I normally do.

Yes, go to the control panel under Appearance and Personalization click the Change Theme and then click on the HIGH CONTRAST WHITE icon and you will see everything in black and white. All the colour cells then disappear and the numbers show in there place.

OK well I must be using a different version of Windows.

I only have one option, in Accessibility Options, Display, Use High Contrast.

To test this, I started off with normal display, and set up a normal worksheet, with three cells coloured red, green and yellow for the background, and each with black text saying either 1, 2 or 3.

I then turned on the high contrast display, and the red, green or yellow for the background disappeared, and ALL cells became black background, with white text.

Is this what you want, or are you looking for something different ?
Can you clarify please ?
