Hi,

After I installed Colo's HTML maker I am getting the following errors when the excel starts

1. Could not load an object because it is not available on this machine.

Subsequently after the first error

2. Err No:=91
Err Discrp:= Object variable or With
Block variable not set

You may have to manually set a reference
to the [VBIDE=VBEEXT.OLB]

Any suggestion to overcome this error?

Thanks

Open the VBA editor to the Addin.
Do a search for the Sub I gave above.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
plettieri,

Yes, I can understand that You are a little bit disappointed that the utility does not work properly.

Today there exist a lot of different windows-operatingsystem (95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP) and also some versions of XL (97 / 2000 / XP with Service Packs etc).

Now add also that some of us on the board also use different language-version of above softwares (spanish / danish / finish / german / swedish etc....)

This complicate things, i e for Colo & Ivan it would required that they had all the versions available to assure that the tool works properly on all plattforms and with all versions of XL.

Upto this date the utility, as far as I know, has "only" been fully tested for XL 2000 on different plattforms, i e no focus on XP-version of XL.

Why? I guess that the average visitor of the list not yet have updated their XL-version to the latest, i e running both 97 & 2000.

That said - Clarification how to find "CreateReferences".

1. Alter to the VB-editor, locate the HTML-maker project in the project-window and make sure it activated.

2. Choose the command Edit | Find and enter the word "CreateReferences" - Make sure that You have checked the option Current Project.

3. Insert following in this procedure as follows:

Sub CreateReferences()
Exit Sub
....here comes the existing code

good luck and kind regards,
Dennis

I have asked the question to the one of the authors (Mr Colo) on that question and the additional issue that i have of not being able to paste into the message box (see my prev threads) on none of my three machines. He said that he will check into it.....We three or four people who responded can't be the only ones that have this issue... Maybe the others just ignore it. It would be interesting to see how many actually have the problem and just accept it as it is or found work arounds....I would hope that Mr. Colo will come to be with a suggestion or preferably a revised download ... I will post the answer to this thread when he does.

Thanks for looking...until then...

I am using HtmlMaker2.20 with Excel97 on Windows 98, and I can not get to copy the code to the clip board to eventually paste into the post either -- so what I do is VIEW the SOURCE code from the browser, copy it and then paste it into the post. If you are not able to VIEW the SOURCE code from the browser, then

you have to go to the MOD_HTML module of HtmlMaker2.20 and comment out the following line

Kill sFilePath

If it works for you -- then you can save the changes made and you will have a workaround.

Regards!

Hi Guys,

Using Excel 97 under Windows 95 (yeah, I know ancient).

After frigging around with this Html utility for some time it finally works after following Yogi's advice on View Source Code/Copy and commenting out Kill sFilePath.

Thanks to Gnaga for being so persistent.

I have just put a test pattern in the Test Forum. If I can get it to work with my configuration, it should work with any system.

Regards,

Mike

Thankx to Mr. Ivan, Mr. Yogi, and Mr XL-Dennis I have now the capability to post up worksheets to the board. Following your suggestions on the earlier posts I was able to get rid of the error messages but like Mr.Yogi I still have to perform his work a round to paste. Maybe Mr. Colo will soon come up with a revised edition so that future users may not have to deal with these issues and can focus on "Excelling". Hope this post will give some relief to those who have come accross this problem.

Tks again.

I think the problem is where you are selecting less than thirty(30) rows and x amount of columns. If you pick less you will get that error.

There your problem is fixed

Hi All,

I looked into how to solved clip board problem, but it's not solved so far.
So I add View Source function as compromise proposal.
Please give it a try, version 2.30.

I had been getting that error about an object not being on the machine ever since I loaded Colo's utility. After going back through some of the other threads, especially the ones for non-techo's like me, I now look like I finally have the utility working properly, with no messages. Thanks all.
