In row 3710, column G, I have this formula: =IF(A3710=TODAY(),E3710,"")
Column H is the last column in the sheet that contains data. However, in column H, row 3710, this formula appears: =IF(A3709=TODAY(),SUM(G$2:G3709),"") For some reason, the row number does not advance to G3710, it reads as the row above. All the other columns, except for H, advance as I expect.
What am I doing wrong?
I am using Excel 2007 with Win7
The note above outlines my problem that was fixed back in August 2010 thanks to a member telling me to make sure the formula is correct from the very beginning. I checked and sure enough there was an error. I entered the correction into the first row usage and copied it down. It fixed the problem.
Now, it is doing the same thing as before. The row number does not advance to the current row (now 4882).
I have checked and made sure the formula in H is correct all the way down to 4582. But when I advance to 4883, it stays 4882.
The only thing different between now and August 2010 is that made the dataset a Table AND I am using Excel 2010.
I add a new row by tabbing to the next row. All other formulas that request an update work. Just this one in H is cranky.
I have also tried extending the dataset to a5000:h5000. Since that invokes all rows to include h5000, I don't get the error message (Inconsistent Calculated Column Formula), however, I really don't want to extend the dataset length unnecessarily. I just want to tab to the next row and have it work.
