column labels as numbers

When the blank Excel worksheet initially appears, all of the column labels are numbers in sequential order similar to the row labels. Any suggestion on how to change them to their proper letters, i.e., A, B, C, etc.? The default font setting is in Arial. Thanks.

Do you hate GETPIVOTDATA?
Prevent GETPIVOTDATA. Select inside a PivotTable. In the Analyze tab of the ribbon, open the dropown next to Options and turn it off

go to tools | options | general. uncheck the R1C1 reference style box.

To correct this go to tools options general tab and uncheck "R1C1" box...this should get u back to letters at the top of the cols
