I have a tab called data and I need to look up a value on another sheet and have it return what column that header is.

Data tab headers

First Name
Last Name
Question 1
Question 2
Question 3
Question 4

If the value I'm looking up is Question 3 I want the formula to return 5.

Thanks!

Hi

Use MATCH:

=MATCH(Lookup_Value,Lookup_Range,FALSE)

eg:

=MATCH(A1,OtherSheet!$A$1:$Z$1,0)

assuming value you want to look up is in A1, headers are on OtherSheet range A1:Z1.
