combine results of LEFT and RIGHT formulas from two different cells

I would like a formula that will take the first 6 characters (LEFT) from the value in A1 and the last 8 characters (RIGHT) in A2 and combine them into a string of 14 characters in A3.

Thanks to all in advance for your help!
