Combine two statements with OR function (I think)

Hi,

I have sifted through many forums and spent lots of trial and error time trying to figure this out to no avail. Hoping someone can help me here.

I want to combine both of the following statements in one cell (using the OR function?). Separately, they work great, but I want all of the conditions to be in one formula, and (obviously) can't figure it out:

=IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("as",G340)),"01","0")

OR

IF(AND(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("mc",A340,ISNUMBER(SEARCH("student",G340))))),"1","0")
