Hi All,

I've only recently moved into using Power Query, oh what a change. I am trying include a 'File Name' column after pressing the 'Content' & 2 small arrows icon, which gives me:
let
Source = Folder.Files(C\\MyDocs\CSVs"),
#"Combined Binaries" = Binary.Combine(Source[Content]),
#"Imported CSV" = Csv.Document(#"Combined Binaries",[Delimiter=",",Encoding=1252]),
#"Changed Type" = Table.TransformColumnTypes(#"Imported CSV",{{"Column1", type date}, {"Column2", type text}, {"Column3", type text}, {"Column4", type text}, {"Column5", type number}, {"Column6", type text}})
in
#"Changed Type"

I've tried and tried to follow the guides but as yet nothing has worked. Not that they aren't wrong, I'm obviously doing something wrong. Any pointers or tips would be much appreciated.

I see a problem, your icons are different from mine. This is my view after removing the others columns.

you have more records because you have more csv files

Yes I get it now. After I removed the Columns, I added a new column with 'Csv.Document([Contents])'. Then expanded that. Great stuff, thanks for taking the time. Much appreciated.

I am thanks. Cheers. Its a start on me learning Power Query and Power Pivot, as I'm moving away form VBA based tools. Just as a matter of interest are there particular books or websites that you or anyone else would recommend?
