Hello,

I have 5 data fieds in my pivot table. 2 of the data fields are "Period 1" and "Period 2". I'd like to add together these two source fields into one field displayed in the pivot table called "Year to date" in the pivot table.

Please could you tell me how to do directly within the pivot table without creating an extra column in the source data?

Many thanks,

Poiu

Workdays for a market open Mon, Wed, Friday?
Yes! Use "0101011" for the weekend argument in NETWORKDAYS.INTL or WORKDAY.INTL. The 7 digits start on Monday. 1 means it is a weekend.
Not sure which version of Excel you are running. In 2007, under the pivot table Tools ribbon within option:

1) Select Formulas
2) Select Calculated Field
3) Name the Field 'YTD'
4) For the formula enter ='Period 1' +'Period 2'

Note, the values entered Period 1 and Period 2 need to match the name of the fields you are using.
