Combining VLookup with If statements

Hi
Is it possible to combine either Index and Match or VLookup with an If statement so instead of finding a match and pulling through data from another column it inputs a rule instead.

In other words, if you find a match to the data in A2 of Sheet 1 on Sheet2, input "yes" in cell D2, if not input "no".

=IF(ISERROR(VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet2!B1:C1000,2,FALSE)),"No","Yes")
