Combobox on Worksheets

How do you rename a combobox that has been inserted on a worksheet? Also, how can I populate the combobox via VBA?

Which Combobox are you using?

The one from Control Toolbar or the one from Forms?
Also, why do you need to populate it from VBA? there are many reasons for this I'm just checking if it's needed.

I'm using a combobox from forms. I want to populate the box from VBA as the values do not currently exist within the worksheet and I wanted to keep the worksheet clean. Obviously open to other suggestions.

Also, how do I refer to the combobox value, when using a combobox on a form, it appears to be pretty straightforward, i.e. combobox1.text but having no joy with a combobox directly on the sheet.
