Hello<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
I have a question about command buttons. I have a rather large Excel file that I created for use at my work. This sheet utilizes a number of Command Buttons (form control not Active X) linked to Macros have various functions. I have these buttons all nicely organized in my sheet, placed according to their function. This Excel File is used by many different people within my company.
<o:p></o:p>
The problem comes when certain people open the file it completely reshapes and resizes all the buttons. How they are reshaped is random but it makes the buttons hard to use because they overlap or become really tiny. Not to mention it looks bad.

I have been looking around for an answer and I can’t find anything remotely close to solving this. So I am turning to you guys for help.

Here are some of the basic facts:<o:p></o:p>
- I am using 2010 but most of the people opening it are using 2007 (I don’t think anyone is using anything earlier then that)<o:p></o:p>
- The file is stored on Microsoft office Live (skydrive) <o:p></o:p>
- These are from the Form Control Menu and are linked to normal Macros that I created<o:p></o:p>
- All the buttons are locked and set to move and re-size with Cells (I understand that this could cause an issue like this but A) I don’t have much of a choice because how the spreadsheet is set up B) there is no evidence that the cells are resizing to cause the issue, C) I have tested it with it set to “do not size and move” with the same result)<o:p></o:p>
- My only thought is it is some sort of conflict between office 2010 and office 2007. So far no one using 2010 has reported this problem.
<o:p></o:p>
Thanks for any help, this is really getting annoying.
<o:p></o:p>
Thank you<o:p></o:p>

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
welcome to the board

I don't know what causes the issue, no doubt there's a reason behind it. Have you tried using activeX controls instead? Although to be honest I've had similar problems with them too...

A workaround I've used is to reset the control size (.top, .left, .height, .width) in my code, so even if it screws up it gets reset again. Alternatively, if you can place all your controls on a userform you won't get this issue - and that can look slick to your Users too
