comparar el valor de una variable con el valor de una celda

Hola de nuevo!!!, la verdad es que nunca he hecho nada parecido a esto y no se si será posible, me explico:

imaginemos en un libro de excel 3 hojas
en la hoja1 el valor de a1 = BMW
en lo hoja2 el valor de a1 = B.M.W.
Y ejecutando una macro, necesito coger el valor de hoja1("a1"), compararlo de algún modo con hoja2("a1"), y si tiene un grado o porcentaje de coincidencia determinado, me pegue el valor de hoja2("a1") en hoja3("a1").

Hay algo en excel, que permita hacer este tipo de cosas?
