Compare 2 columns of data for duplicates

I have 2 columns that contain matching numbers. However, one column (A) has extra entries in it so the 2 columns do not match. I would like to compare the 2 columns and pull out all the extra numbers (in a list if possible) from column A that do not match the second column B.

Try this in C1 copied down:

=IF(ISERROR(MATCH(A1,$B$1:$B$50,0)),A1,"")

In a new column use the function =IF(A1<>B1,A1,"") & copy down the entire column. If the values in 2 columns do not match, it will return the value of column A & if they are equal it returns null

The problem that I think I have is when it goes through to compare by matching, column A has the extra number so that it then throws off the matching in both columns. Then everything after that errors. I have just over 3000 rows of numbers that I am attempting to pull out the extra numbers.
