Excel Facts

VLOOKUP to Left?
Use =VLOOKUP(A2,CHOOSE({1,2},$Z$1:$Z$99,$Y$1:$Y$99),2,False) to lookup Y values to left of Z values.
Hi & welcome to MrExcel.
How about
Excel Formula:
=IF(MAX(COUNTIFS(A1:G1,A1:G1))>1,"Duplicate","Ok")

That formula does ignore empty cells, are you sure the cells are empty?

Those cells are not empty they contain a formula. :( So why did you say they were empty?

Try
Excel Formula:
=IF(MAX(COUNTIFS(E1:J1,E1:J1,E1:J1,"><"))>1,"Duplicate","Ok")
