Comparing Groups of Columns in different worksheets

Hello
How to compare ,2 or more columns that have the same Names in different worksheets
For example , Column A is a list of Places and B
is dates.
Row 1 Place1. Date1
Row 2 Place1. Date2
Row 3 Place2. Date1
Therefore row 1 and 3 need to be joined/catenated to form a unique value
Can this be done with VLookup ?
