I have duplicate names in column A in Excel I want to output FALSE on the first set of duplicate names, then TRUE on the next set of duplicate names, then FALSE on the next set of names, and so on. Sometimes there are no duplicate names, however I want when I change any name it changes from FALSE to TRUE or from TRUE to FALSE
Here is an example I made manually
Emely
Ashly
James
Robert
Robert
Robert
Michael
Michael
David
Richard
James
James
I want it as follows
Ashly TRUE
James FALSE
Robert TRUE
Robert TRUE
Robert TRUE
Michael FALSE
Michael FALSE
David TRUE
Richard FALSE
James TRUE
James TRUE

I want these results for conditional formatting
To color each person individually
Thank you very much

Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
In that example you have James on the 3rd line & also at the bottom. Is that how your data is, or will all names be together?

Is this equation impossible to solve?
Or does she have an effortless solution?
