Hi, I am trying to concatenate a word with a % figure in brackets.

Basically in cell A2, I want to have a formula going =Concatenate("Discount", " ", A1) and in cell A1 I want to have 10%.

So that the output in cell A2 is Discount (10%).

Any idea how I could do this? The reason why I want the % in cell A1 is because it may change and there is a formula elsewhere in the file working off the discount.

Thanks

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
It really depends on what REALLY is in cell A1.
Is A1 a number that is formatted to show a percentage (i.e. if you chane the format to "General", it would show .10)?
Or is A1 a text entry (so the "%" is actually hard-coded in the cell entry)?

Actually, I think this formula will work on either case:
Excel Formula:
=CONCATENATE("Discount (",TEXT(A1,"0%"),")")
