A Concatenate formula I use inserts a number in text to create something simliar to the following: Cost of twelve gross wigets total $2967.56 and freight is included. It works find, but I would like to have the numbers formatted as such: $2,967.56...I have tried many ways to do this with a formula...will I have to use VB?

Thanks before hand.

Excel Facts

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.

With the text and amount in cells
try

=A2&DOLLAR(D2)&A3

Revise references as necessary.

You could also look at the function Text.
