Dear Members,

In a spreadsheet I have

A1 = Max(E1,F1,G1) = +24
B1 = Min(E2,F2,G2) = -25

I want C1 to show

C1 = +24/-25.

Kindly tell me how to do it.

Try

=IF(SIGN(A1)*SIGN(B1)+1,IF(A1+B1>0,"+","")&LOOKUP(MAX(INDEX(ABS(A1:B1),0)),INDEX(ABS(A1:B1),0),A1:B1),IF(A1>0,"+","")&A1&"/"&IF(B1>0,"+","")&B1)

Excel Facts

Shade all formula cells
To shade all formula cells: Home, Find & Select, Formulas to select all formulas. Then apply a light fill color.
Maybe also:

=IF(A1*B1<=0,TEXT(A1,"+0;-0;0")&"/"&TEXT(B1,"+0;-0;0"),TEXT(LARGE(A1:B1,(A1<=0)+1),"+0;-0;0"))
