I set a CF to change the color and fill of a cell based on whether the adjacent cell is nonzero. Easy peasy...except that the font in the format section is selected to a different font than the basic cell font and it's grayed out and unchangeable.

I have other cells with a similar CF and they are fine. The font is also grayed out but it's not different.

Ideas?

Copy formula down without changing references
If you have =SUM(F2:F49) in F50; type Alt+' in F51 to copy =SUM(F2:F49) to F51, leaving the formula in edit mode. Change SUM to COUNT.
not sure how that's happening, as CF shouldn't effect the font, beyond, italics, bold, colour and strike through

when the CF is applied what does the format box show about the selection

are you using a standard windows font ?

You have to set the font in the regular way - conditional formats can't change the font or size of the text in a cell: only the attributes like the text colour or whether it is bold, strikethrough, or underlined as well as cell fill/borders etc.

So you need to fix your weird formatting not in conditional formating but in the usual place and it should work like all the others.
