Hi All,

Can we set contional formatting for Text?

E.g If i enter Text ready in cell i want that cell to be turned in Green colour. Can we set such conditions?

Excel Facts

Lock one reference in a formula
Need 1 part of a formula to always point to the same range? use $ signs: $V$2:$Z$99 will always point to V2:Z99, even after copying
Yes.

Select the cell(s) you want conditional formatting on, go to Format>Conditional Formatting, and apply the following:

Cell Value Is > Equal To > ready

Apply the desired color.

What version of Excel are you using?

Tell us the exact location of the cell(s) you want to format. Don't just say something like: they're in column D. Say something like: they're in the range D10:D25.
