Conditional Formating

I have a worksheet with following info.

Book1
	A	B	C	D
1	Date	Day
2
3	Jan-1	Thu
4	Jan-2	Fri
5	Jan-3	Sat
6	Jan-4	Sun
Sheet1

I would like to show Sat and Sun in Red color with conditional formating.
The formula in Column B is referencing Column A.
When I use conditional format "cell value is" "equal to" Sat or =Sat Column B does not respond.

Any help appreciated.

Did you put the Sat in within quotes. (ie. ="Sat")

=WEEKDAY(B3,2)>5

Use Fairwinds formula, just change the condition from "Cell Value is" to "Formula Is"
