Can someone please help me with this? I can figure out conditional formatting for a cell. How can I get it for a row?

If I have data in rows A, B, C and D, and E is a yes/no, how can I change the color of the entire row? Yes is one color, no is another color. We are looking for a fill color, not a text color change.

thank you!!!

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
In the future, include the version of Excel you're using as it will make it a bit easier, but this should help.

Pick a cell in column E. I'll use E5 as an example.

You'll conditionally format that cell with a formula: =$E5="Yes"

Copy that cell.

And then highligh every row in the workbook (or just the ones that you want the format to apply to) and just paste-special > formats.

Sorry about not posting the version. I'm at work, so we have the old stuff. 2003.

I am having success at changing the color of column E, but not so much the rows.

Thank you

It's ok, just makes it easier as we can give you more specific direction. Did you try the method I mentioned?
