I have a column in which I want to highlight certain words. If it possible to match a list or have I got to create a rule for each match?

My current approach is

Format only cells with:

Specific Text --- containing --- WordToMatch
Ideally I want to create a rule that does:

Format only cells with:

Specific Text --- containing --- WordToMatch; AnotherMatch; ThirdMatch

Is this possible?

thanks

Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
Please be more specific, an example with "specific text", "anothermatch", etc... for instance

Yes just like that, but if I'm matching a single phrase then it doesn't need the "

Using a comma seperator doesn't work either.

You'll have to use
"Use a formula to determine which cells to format"
And use

=OR(A1="Under Investigation",A1="Scheduled")
Change A1 to the cell you are applying the format to.
