When I run CF, it only highlights the cell that contains my words. How do I get Excel to highlight the entire row?

I did the whole table. I also ran into anther problem. People will be adding to this spreadsheet and I need the table to be dynamic so i don't have to keep reformatting it everytime someone adds something. How can that be done?

Can you post the exact formula you entered?

Also for your second question, you should be able to allow for more data by simply expanding the range being formatted.

It wasn't a formula. I used to preset of formatting cells containg specific text. Since I can only highlight one cell and not the row, I cannot expand the formula.

Ok, you need to use conditional formatting and the enter your own formula option.

Highlight the whole table. On the home tab, under format cells, go to the conditional formatting dropdown menu. Select manage rules. If there are any rules there highlight and delete them.

Select New Rule. On the top it says "Select a Rule Type."

Choose "Use a formula to determine which cells to format." In the formula bar below, enter this formula:

=$B2="reviewed"

Select "format" and choose the formatting you want. Select Ok and then Ok again.

That is still only highlighting one cell and the table is not dynamic, so any new entries will not have this formatting.

Please POST here the formula you entered in the formula bar of conditional formatting.

P.S. When we get the first part working, we can expand the range to allow for new data.
