Hello,

I have created a vba macro that creates a second workbook - which will be co-authored. We would like there to be conditional formatting in this second workbook. The cells colour will change depending on the name of the user. Any thoughts on how this can be acheived ? thanks

kind regards
Kaps

Excel Facts

What is =ROMAN(40) in Excel?
The Roman numeral for 40 is XL. Bill "MrExcel" Jelen's 40th book was called MrExcel XL.
You can use VBA (your existing macro, or a new one) to create the conditional formatting for the 2nd workbook according to your specifications.

thanks. I should add that once the second workbook is created, it operates entirely independently of the first workbook.

...it operates entirely independently of the first workbook.

It should not matter. You can use VBA to set up the needed conditional formats as part of the WB creation process, so long as you know what they need to be at that point.
