Hello

I have a table and each cell in the table has a reasonably long formula in it. The formula returns either a numeric value or a text value "False".

1) I cannot figure out how to apply conditional formatting so that a numeric value is green and a "false" text value, is red.

2) So as to prevent making the formula look too long I'd like to try to avoid using an "if" statement if possible int he conditional formating.

Any ideas anyone?

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
You can try this, but it won't work if you have negative numbers.

Create the first condition: Cell Value Is - greater than or equal to - "a". Select the format you want to use if text were to appear.

Add the second condition: Cell Value Is - greater than or equal to 0. Select the format you want to use if numbers were to appear.

Hope that works for you.
