conditional formatting on values in other sheets

from the MSDN site:

"In Excel 2003, you could not refer to ranges in other worksheets in a conditional formatting rule. Excel 2007 allows cell references anywhere in the workbook. "

does not seem to be working for me(xlsm file).

as a test i have:

ColA...ColB

2.55...2.25

the formatting rule in ColB :
A1>PPT2!L85...Red

i get a message saying i cannot reference other sheets.

did i miss something?

That works for me in Excel 2010.

unfortunately i have about 30 values to compare 'to'.
think i will just transfer the values to the same sheet as the formatting.
