Hi All

I have a problem conditionally formatting a column of cells. BQ31:BQ49. One of these cells contains the word “Average” and moves up and down as data is received. I want to make the word red which I have done with CF. However, when the word moves to another cell it loses its format and goes back to black. Is there a way to make the formatting move with the word? Many thanks Robert

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Can you share a screenshot of conditional formatting rules to understand the scenario.

The column contains a list of players that move up and down as their scores change. Consider "AVERAGE" to be just another player , but I want him to be in red. If I format the "AVERAGE" cell to red text, when it moves up and down it loses the red formatting. How can I make the red move with the word? Many thanks for your reply and help. Robert
