conditional formatting - simple!!!!

This is probably a very simple one and im being stupid!.

In the conditional formatting options how do you select the criteria to occur when the cell is empty??

1. Activate E3 cell.
2. Enter the conditional formatting.
3. Copt E3 cell.
4. Select remained range.
5. Paste Formatting.
