=IF(G55=26,"Evaluation Complete","Evaluation Incomplete")

Considering the above, I want "Evaluation Complete" (true) to be in blue font and "Evaluation Incomplete" (false) to be red font.

I'm using Excel 2007, how would I go about doing this?

Thanks, Besh

Excel Facts

What is the fastest way to copy a formula?
If A2:A50000 contain data. Enter a formula in B2. Select B2. Double-click the Fill Handle and Excel will shoot the formula down to B50000.
Highlight the cell, and on the Home tab, click on "Conditional Formatting">"New Rule"

In here, click on "Format only cells that contain", change to Cell Value -- Equal to -- Evaluation Complete

Click on "Format" and choose the formatting you want.

Then do the same for "Evaluation Incomplete".

Try this...
  • Select the cell in question. Let's assume it's cell A1.
  • Goto the Home tab>Styles>Conditional Formatting>Manage rules>New rule>Use a formula to determine which cells to format
  • Enter this formula in the box below:
    =A1="Evaluation Complete"
  • Click the Format button
  • Select the Font tab
  • From the color drop down select a shade of BLUE
  • OK
  • OK
  • New Rule>Use a formula to determine which cells to format
  • Enter this formula in the box below:
    =A1="Evaluation Incomplete"
  • Click the Format button
  • Select the Font tab
  • From the color drop down select a shade of RED
  • OK out
