Conditional formatting with a reference point

I'm creating a task list. What I'd like to do is have a conditional formatting set up so that it fills in cells A3:A10 if A2 has a P in it.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Highlight the range A3:A10, go to CF and enter the formula:

=$A$2="P"

and set format to whatever you want, fill colour etc
