If a value for Row 1 is Yes & Row 2 IS No, Row 3 should should display Amber color

Excel Facts

Why does 9 mean SUM in SUBTOTAL?
It is because Sum is the 9th alphabetically in Average, Count, CountA, Max, Min, Product, StDev.S, StDev.P, Sum, VAR.S, VAR.P.
Welcome to the Board!

You can use the formula approach: =IF(AND(A1="Yes"),A2="Yes")

And so on...

Thanks a lot for your reply, But I need to have a color coding in Place (Green, Amber & Red) for different conditions. Kindly request you to throw some light on this.

The formula I posted will manage your first rule (green), and is what you put in the Conditional Formatting criteria.

"And so on..." Referred to adding two more CF conditions after that, using the same formula, but adjusting the Yes/No's.

Welcome to the Board!

You'll need to be more specific. What range do you want to format? What's the criteria? I.E. If A1 > 10 then...

Do you want to format the row that the VLOOKUP is in, or the row where the VLOOKUP found its match?

Select the VLOOKUP reference range, then assuming that the matching values are in column A, try:

=$A1=VLOOKUPRange
