I am trying to set up conditional formatting for a report that i have to submit showing the status of invoice payments from our clients. What i want is for a cell to change to colour amber 5 days before the invoice due date; red when it becomes overdue; and green when the payment date is entered into the next cell. I have managed to get the red and amber but i'm finding it difficult to get the change to green, i.e i want cell in the payment column G (cell G4) to change to green when a date is entered into the payment date column J (J4).

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
Tried that but it doesn't seen to work

What exactly did you try? Remember I can't see what you did and if works for me.

In G4 I applied the conditional format =N(J4) and then in J4 I put a date. Cell G4 turned green.
