Hi, I have a problem as stated below

I have cells E7:E29 that contain numeric data.

I also have master cells that contain core numeric data those cells are E4:E5

I also have a tolerance cell B4 with a specified number.

Now here goes IF any numeric value within E7:E29 is within the tolerance value of the master cells then those cells(e7:e29) become red.

can anyone help out? i am confused myself on what to start out with my mind goes in a vicous loop.

Select E7:E29 and choose Format|Conditional Formatting from the menu. Condition 1 Formula is:

Code:
=OR(AND(E7>=($E$4-$B$4),E7<=($E$4+$B$4)),AND(E7>=($E$5-$B$4),E7<=($E$5+$B$4)))

Choose a Format and click OK twice.

Hi

You should be able to use Conditional Formatting. Please specify how the tolerance values operate (ie as a percentage, as an absolute value etc) and provide example values in E4:E5 and E7:E29 and B4.

Thanks

If these formulas do not return the desired result, please provide a sample of your data, along with the actual/expected results...
