Hello everyone,

I would like to import data from SAP to Excel, therefore it would be interesting to find out if there are any free/open-source solutions to this problem. Does Excel itself provide a solution to connect to SAP?

I have found some tools which might help but they are not free:
  • Palo for Excel (SAP Connectivity)
  • RfcConnector
  • Innowera Prozess Runner
  • Winshuttle Queryshuttle
  • PowerPivot using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services
Any help and ideas are welcome :)

Kind Regards,
pepper1

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I am looking for something that connects Excel with SAP in order to retrieve SAP data (if possible automatically) into Excel. I want to apologize for the confusion. Do you have an idea?

No idea. I've only exported from SAP to files in excel. Maybe someone else can provide some assistance.
