console msg with excel

Hi i need a big assistance i have this file credit memo that is used to save customer info and those that bought goods on credit.In column c i have the date they collected the goods in column d i have the date that they are supposed to pay i want to know whether it is possible using a macro or formula to get excel sheet to send a console msg or play a sound when the date the customer is supposed to pay reaches.pls note that i dont want to open the excel to get the msg or for the sound to be played i have searched for so long but cant find anything even close to this am in over my head and desperate for assistance somebody Help before i start eating my hair
